Celebrate international women's day with friends or family by supporting each other!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Some of you that follow me on social media may know that I like to celebrate holidays. I post about daily holidays like National Coffee Day or National Puppy Day. These are just fun ways to make ordinary days a bit more cheerful and I really like to share how we can all celebrate them.

I especially love today’s holiday and want to dedicate a blog post to it. Today is International Women’s Day. As a woman with a business built around empowering other women to achieve their goals, this day is extra special to me. I love that it’s celebrated globally since the early 1900’s when women marched for better pay and voting rights. No one can deny that women have come so far! We have much to celebrate and still more changes to make.

You can use the hashtag #IWD2017 and #BeBoldForChange for this year’s campaign. It’s all about calling on others AND yourself to help create a better working world with gender inclusiveness.

Let’s Actually Celebrate Today!

Who is a woman you want to celebrate today? I would love it if you would comment below and and tell me who it is you admire and why. It can be a relative, friend or a famous person you aspire to be like. I know we all have many role models, so let’s share who these people are and let them know today how much we appreciate them if we can.

You can always take this one step further and think about how you’d like to make changes for women yourself. Whether you’re a leader in your household, at work, in a group, etc., I think it’s important to look up to others and be the kind of person others want to look up to. I personally love talking with my group of friends who are also business owners. We like to chat about our plans and dreams, as well as support and help each other out every chance we can. Just being supportive and listening can mean so much to the women in your life! Let me know in the comments below what you try to do for your female friends and happy International Women’s Day!!Celebrate International Women's Day by telling someone you admire how much you appreciate them.

I want to celebrate my young women friends who are raising their children as stay at home mom’s, sometimes working part time jobs, and homeschooling as well! I love that they are strong, confident people and understand that their children and family are so important! So glad your business has grown and you have outgrown your space! Yay!!!

Thanks for sharing, Colleen! You’re so right – being a stay-at-home mom is definitely a full time job in itself! Add working and homeschooling in the mix and you’ve got supermom for sure. Thanks for the kind comment…we’re excited to move into a bigger space and so grateful for your support!!
